A series of artistic visual compositions that express the night time personality for each façade. A nod to the ‘Cadavre Exquis’ style of façade architecture that characterises the eclectic structures of the Miami Design District. Shielding a functional garage interior.

We worked in close collaboration with WORKac, J.Mayer.H, Nicholas Buffe, Clavel Arquitectos, Keenan/Riley and the engineers Tim Haahs to deliver a series of artistic visual compositions that express the night time personality for each façade.

A playful touch is evident in each piece – from the pop art colour of “Ant Farm”, to revealing the mesh puzzle pieces of “XOX (Hugs and Kisses)”, the ‘stage curtain’ created for “Serious Play”, fun flashing indicator lights in “Urban Jam” and the highlighted reflectivity of “Barricades” – the design for each façade allows it to take its rightful place within the District’s collection of inventive architecture.

As determined in our district wide master plan, the facades sit above a bed of blue street lighting, creating a backdrop that contributes to Miami Design District’s distinctive after dark atmosphere.

The lit image of each art façade has been approached uniquely to reinforce and enhance their individual character.”
