Speirs Major

I studied Theatrical Lighting Design at the Taipei National University of the Arts before completing my Masters in design: Expanded Practice at Goldsmiths University, London. My passion for lighting began in the theatre and the endless possibilities it creates. In my MA course the idea that participation is more than space gave me a new perspective for development in lighting design.

I joined Speirs Major in 2022 and have since worked on retail stores in Hong Kong and China, and a workplace development and hotel in London. I am interested in projects that allow me to explore my passion for concept development, taking abstract ideas and transforming them into breathtaking lighting experiences. The challenge of harmonizing artistic vision with technical precision is both stimulating and immensely rewarding.
